Almeida e Filhos, Lda has a long experience in the manufacture of traditional speck and sausage, since its activity began in 1975 by the hand of Mr. José de Almeida, although its constitution took place only in 1987. Over these years Almeida e Filhos, Lda has undergone investments for expansion and restructuring in order to meet not only the constant demands, but also to monitor progress, to rebalance the operation of the plant, to improve the quality of the sausages themselves and finally to obtain capacity to the growing demand.

At present, the company already counts on the collaboration of its founder's grandchildren, in large facilities and with modern equipment, adapted to the ever more demanding quality standards. Its products are marketed throughout the country, from north to south, as well as to some European and African countries. It is noteworthy that even with technological modernization, care has always been taken to maintain the original and traditional characteristics of all sausages, which makes evident the increasingly strong customer loyalty.
